D3B stripped steering clutch discs!

The drum and clutch discs were changed at the same. It only ran about 6 hours since the repair. Any ideas what could be the issue? Im thinking maybe bevel gear shaft bearings or pinion bearings. I just got asked to check it out. The guy sent me a pic. All disc splines are totaly smooth. Anyone ran into this after a repair?
