please help! Takeuchi TB125 lever-lock issue

I'm literally losing sleep over this!
I'm smack in the middle of building a boulder retaining wall- have 60 yards of clean fill being delivered monday (3 days)- and my machine is stuck!
it's a 2002 Takeuchi TB125 canopy model (12511965).
about a week ago- every 20 mins the stick controls would lock up (no boom, thumb or track controls)
everything is good fluid & engine wise. Didn't matter if I was simply idling, crawling or stacking rocks- all of a sudden the safety lock would engage...
