D5G track speed sensor

Today while dozing the speed setting went from the 2 position to one. Using the rocker would not move the setting. I shut down the engine and turned on the key and it would move on the gage but when started up and put into fwd or reverse it would go back to the one position. Checked the codes and 251 came up and 244 as a stored fault came up. The 251 is a L H track speed sensor and the 244 is the parking brake rocker switch.
