Hey everyone! Just got a TS14b from an auction. Had some old Euclid S18s with 6110bs in them but never a little 471. The back engine won't shut off with the blower. You flip the lever and I can hear it close and motor slows down but chugs black smoke. It runs at a very low idle. Had to loosen fuel lines to get it off. Any ideas? Could it be a gasket in the box? Or do I need to go into it?

I have the manuals for the 100-2 and the 200-2, but not the 120-2. So, I know there is a fuel filter and water separator on this engine. However I have been trying to find the part numbers for them and determine exactly how many are on the machine.

I have a 4X4 Condor A42RT Manlift from the late 1990's and it will not drive forward or reverse. hey guys im working on a Samsung SE240 LC-3 excavator the stepping motor was replaced due to bad wires and the dial switch that controls it as well. the problem is the step motor will not reach max rpm and I have error codes ER14,ER22 but when I switch from auto to man and use the throttle cable it reaches the max rpm.
Ive checked for correct connection, fuses, grounds I cant seem to find where to check next any help will be awesome plus I don't have any schematic's for this piece of equipment

Got a ex120 with possible fuel problem.
Runs good for bit then stubbles and will barely idle.
It did have collapsed fuel line.
Put inline pump on as well and it's pushing fuel.
Seems to be worse in winter.
Also runs outa fuel at half tank even tho it's half full.
I'm lost.... Looks like simple engine.
I disconnected the roll over shut off or what ever that other cable is.

Hey guys, looking for some help deciding which excavator to go with. Looking at either a 2014 cat 336e with between 1300 and 3300 hours or a new link belt 350x4. The cats are priced 235 and 190 respectively, and the link belt has 120 hours as a demo and is priced at 257. I have a 210LX and a 320e, both of which I am keeping. I have had a 2800 And 4300 link belt and liked them both. The 320 I have seems to rock a little compared to the 210.

I currently run a Cat 299D with a Fecon mulching head and a brush cutter. I'm done with the Cat due to the tracks coming off all the time. I work alone in allot of swampy areas and I'm tired of bringing in a excavator to pickup machine to put a track back on!

I am not a crane operator, but we use wheel loaders for lifting anything that needs lifting and do use a soft sling occasionally, but mostly chains.

There was an accident in Adelaide yesterday, where a steel beam slipped from a soft sling, killing one worker and injuring another.

D5G Parking brake issues again!

I am back once again with parking brake issues on my D5G ( SS# WGB03584 ) This time the problem just comes and goes. I can be running it and the parking brake will engage and stop me dead in my tracks. It does show a fault on the dash next to the parking brake light when it does this. I am posting this for a friend who isnt very internet saavy. A customer brought him a 268b skidsteer with an issue of not throttling up. The first story is that cat looked at it and said it needed an injection pump. Going by that this mechanic removed the pump, had it rebuilt and reinstalled. Now the machine idles beautiful, here is the problem. The only way to get the machine to throttle up is to keep the arms or bucket moving. Getting the bugs worked out of the 1994 Case I picked up a little while ago, center pivot has some play and seeing as how this setup uses shimmed bearing units for movement and as how this machine was a total rebuild a few thousand hrs ago, is it possible the bearing were shimmed too loose. Everything else about the rebuild seems like it was put together by the apprentice no one liked to help. I have a question on the 580b case, The enine is a 188 and has the im thinking power shuttle, well the starter has a little bolt on the housing between the starter sylinoid, and starter motor, this bolt keeps leaking fluid around it, is this an adjustment bolt? can it be removed and an o-ring put on it to keep it from leaking? I guess a pic would help also ill try to get one

Case 580 CK rear differential way overfull why?

Hi all. I just bought a Case 580CK and have a bad oil leak coming from the brake cover area. I checked the rear diff oil and it is several inches above the full line. And appeared to be thinner like hydraulic fluid.

I just need to know how it got there?
Is there a seal between the transmishion and the differential that's bad and letting hydraulic fluid in to the diff?

Or did the previous owner put it there?

On my way to work everyday I had been passing a loader on the side of the road for sale. It looked good from the road. After a few days I decided to stop and take a closer look. It's a Dresser 175C. Much to my surprise it looked fairly good. Lots of life left in her from first glimpse. The seat looked worst of all.

Bidding a job for 16 miles of fire breaks, was going to use dozer but don't think I can pull that off. I wanted to use the CTL or 2 of them to build the breaks, just curious to see how you'd go about doing that and what attachment would be best. I have posted and threaded with little to no responses. on a Kobelco sk300lc mark iv I am having the engine stall out and die . checked the single pump solenoid, and replaced . Is it surpo0se to buzz or click when 24 volts is added. I have power to solenoid and it is new . If I extend any function all the way or stall out hyd s it will kill engine or bogg it down. My first crane. Got her hauled home this morning about 60 miles. Has some things wrong with it but I think it will work out ok. It has a cummins 5.9 turbo in it. D7h paint in transmission

1st gear stopped working so I pulled the transmission to find all the filters Clogged with flakes of paint. The paint from the inside of the transmission is flaking off in places. If I whipe a rag on the remaining paint it's as if the paint is not dry. Any idea what could have caused this? The no 5 clutch pack is worn out and a few seals destroyed hence the no first gear. I am guessing contamination of some sort occurred. Has anyone had this problem before?

What tracks should be on my D4?

'67 D4 78A7177. Looking for a used set of chains or tracks. I was told both D4 dozer and 941 loader tracks fit but on further investigation it seems there is more to the story than that. Among the possible variables; dry unsealed pins, dry sealed pins, 1.99" or 2.12" bushing diameters, thick or thin chain link thickness. On something this old there is no telling whats on there currently. What should it have and how do I verify if that is what is on there now?

As above my 2002 420D IT dipper cylinder has been drifting on me and I have had to use it as is due to schedule of house build including footers,septic etc.

I finally got the cylinder off and took it apart. First thing I found was that the piston has wear marks and scrapes/gouges. The seals are worn and even torn. Then looking at the bore there are score marks from one end to the other all parallel to each other and about 1.25"'s apart. I did not find a lot of metal but I did find one...

1998 Bobcat 863 fuel problem

It just cut off while running fine. After sitting 5-10 minutes will crank, run few minutes, then cut off again. I have changed fuel filter and bled out air. have disconnected fuel supply hose in front of squeeze bulb and connected hose to a can of fuel (to isolate fuel tank). Still does same thing. I can push fuel to the 4 fuel pumps with the squeeze bulb but not past. Any suggestions?

Hi there, I have a ASV Rc100, that is stuck in hi speed, I'm running out of things to check and replace. so far I have done the following.
Replaced both Drive motors, checked hi/low speed solenoid & shaft, replaced all hydraulic filters, replaced all seals in hand controller. checked all electrical wires for any signs of open wires, check all fuses, and connection in fuse box.
I managed to get it running in low speed for about 5 minutes, went over a bump and i'm stuck in high speed again....

Good morning

I have found several metal debris in the magnetic canister of a JCB 3CX gray cab (1990) during oil drain.




The yellow paint particles are due for the inside gear box coloration (no bronze!), The debris area is only one you can see, the rest of canister is clean.
I do not know when the precedent owner did last oil change and the interval hours.
The machine has about 5-6k hours, no bad sound from converter, very good conditions...

Abondoned TD18A US Navy Crawler/Dozer

I was out in the County yesterday and came across this old dozer. It sits maybe 50 yards off the dirt road but was well hidden by a couple cedar trees. I caught a glimpse of it as I drove by and had to go back for some pictures and a video.
It is a a 1953 TD18A International Crawler. It is a retired US Navy Machine that found its way into the Arkansas back woods at some point. Looks like it blew a head gasket or something and was left to rot. Really neat old crawler with a Bucyrus Erie...

Hello All. Please i'm having problem testing the D6r bulldozer transmission i just repaired using High pressure Air. the gears are not engaging when i put the pressure hose on the valve holes. When i did this with my D8r bulldozer in 2013, it gave me good result. Hi all I need some help with a Kato HD 900SEV digger S/n 900514sw
the machine has pilot operated controls for the main attachments and uses cables to operate the travel spools
the problem is when machine warms up the functions on the left hand joystick go slow. operating the right hand joystick improves the slow functions. i suspect the pump signal system but do not know how it operates as the pilot lines go directly to the main control valve .there also appears to be no pilot pump as such....

Hello I'm am in need of some assistance in repairing our LULL. Its a 2003 1044C-54 Serial 18942 3700 hours (sat for a bit outside)
Upon start up cold it has slow and very limited use of the hydraulic functions.
The boom will go up slow and if you increase the RPMS on the engine, it will cut out the hydraulic pressure till you let it idle again and then it will go up slowly. The frame tilt is real bad. You barley crack the lever to get any movement at all from it.

D5G Parking brake issues again!

I am back once again with parking brake issues on my D5G ( SS# WGB03584 ) This time the problem just comes and goes. I can be running it and the parking brake will engage and stop me dead in my tracks. It does show a fault on the dash next to the parking brake light when it does this. Hi all. I just bought a Case 580CK and have a bad oil leak coming from the brake cover area. I checked the rear diff oil and it is several inches above the full line. And appeared to be thinner like hydraulic fluid.

I just need to know how it got there?
Is there a seal between the transmishion and the differential that's bad and letting hydraulic fluid in to the diff?

Or did the previous owner put it there?

About 5 years ago I purchased a brand new kioti ck27 tractor with FEL to maintain my 14 acre property. I've been very happy with it overall but I find that I need more machine. I pretty much only push snow with it and use the loader in summer to lift trees for firewood and that kind of thing. I often borrow a skid steer as my tractor doesn't dig well and won't lift a ton..

hey guys, I'm new here and am having a problem with my 05 bobcat t190 with 2200 hours on it. 3 weeks ago I started it up, let it run and went through the motions of testing everything....and everything checked out.

An old friend died. His grandson bought his Ford 4500 backhoe. The swing tower has been neglected way too long. The bottom bushing wore out forever ago. It wore until pressure caused cracks in the metal where the bottom bushing should be. It landed in my lap today. Can anyone tell me what this metal is. It appears to be cast, but has factory looking welds on it.
Options as I see them are to weld to build it up, then line bore, or cut it off, and weld on freshly machined steel in its place....

Hi All,
Last night the left track came off the rear drive sprocket on my CAT 314.
I've looked at a bunch of utube videos, and would like to know the best way to proceed--- in the utube videos its real variable how people get the track back on-- bucket teeth, chains, etc. All of them seem to suggest releasing track tension and blocking up the machine on the side where the track is off. I'm doing this alone.
Some guys in those tubes are pretty rough with bucket teeth on the pads-- can't you...

Getting the bugs worked out of the 1994 Case I picked up a little while ago, center pivot has some play and seeing as how this setup uses shimmed bearing units for movement and as how this machine was a total rebuild a few thousand hrs ago, is it possible the bearing were shimmed too loose. I just bought a dozer that has a few missing or bent track shoes. The remaining shoes are at about 50% so i hate to replace all of them at this point. Is there any issue with having a few shoes with 100% grousers? I could see it potentially stressing the chain in that area if the tracks slip and it catches something solid. Am i over thinking this?

So if you are interested in boring bits of a D9H dozer refurb, you are only slightly less deranged than the person posting such rubbish (me). The Genie GS1930 scissor lift will work with one person seeming just fine but will not go up with two people in it. Did find older thread on this too which was very helpful. Tested pressure at test port at about 2400lb. On the valve block turned system relief valve and lift relief valve all the way in (about 3 turns) and pressure only increased to about 2600lb-2700lb. Which is better, v blade or KG?

let the opinions fly, looking at cutting a timber logged 8 years ago, like to use D65-15 as I have that tractor. Will it perform? Heavy enough? Read that D7Es and Gs worked well but 8H and K are more weight for better grunt and the D9 is unstoppable. Really not looking to buy a bigger machine if the 65 will perform well enough to shear so many acres a day. Which blade would give better performance at shearing acres?

I recently bought a new machine(new to me) & I do not know how to tighten the tracks. I am used to just using a grease fitting to adjust tracks but this machine has something different. Check out the picture I included. Any info on what this fitting is would be very beneficial as the tracks need tightened up. Thanks in advance!

Two years ago I got a f450 service body with no crane. The truck sits at 18000lbs and is 1500lbs over weight. I am looking at a new truck and think a f550 is too small.

I now take care of 5 excervator 4 skid steers 2 wheel loader cv 50 screen. 4 lulls 2 man lifts 3 trailer up to 30 ton 10 truck from 350 to kw. Various attachments and smaller pieces of equipment

I have 6000lbs of tools on the 450 and anther 2000lbs on the selves at the garage. Would a 25999 truck be big enough or would u....

YAMNAR ENGINE COOLANT LEAK ON A TB016

This problem is on a Takeuchi excavator tb016 2003 with a Yamnar TNE 3-68.engine. Maybe some one can help me... After sitting for 4 month, I notice that there is a small leak of coolant, droplets, on the bolts that hold the engine oil pan on the fuel pump side.It is very difficult to see around the coolant pump, but the drain of the pump is dry so it is not by the seal of the pump. Every other place seems dry. Any one could give me some advice ? thank you for yours comments. Ronald.

This is our tms300. Grain was supposed to be 115' tall. Decided it needed to be 135' tall. Had the 110t there to set the dryers so we just set the head with it.

Truss set here. Tms300 again. I ran out of cribbing. That pic is after they dug a 3' hole in the driveway for the back of the crane.

Leaking final drive.

One of the final drives is leaking on my 8 ton kubota excavator. I have never had a final drive leak before. I was wondering how hard/big of a job it is to change the seal and what's all involved . I am hoping to fix it myself.

Komatsu Hydraulic Fluid

Hi,

I have a 1994 Komatsu PC400-5 excavator in the western USA, rural area.

Trying to figure out what hydraulic fluid to use to top it off with. Recently had hydrualic fluid changed at dealer.

The manual says 10wt.
The dealer says 10wt, 10w-30 or 15-40 motor oil, not aw46
My service ticket under hydraulic fluid says "70 gal HO46" - but thats NOT 10wt motor oil... ?!!?
This doc seems to indicate it needs to be motor oil, AND HAVE DIESEL CD OR BETTER CERT, not aw46 (see esp page 10 ):...
