Excavation costs?

I’m most certain this is not the correct place to post this thread so maybe someone or moderator can send me in the right direction. Does anyone know what average cost for stripping dirt is in the Midwest. Black dirt and clay is the material. Stripping material about 10-20 ft deep to reach sand/gravel. Thanks
