AS we were in the market for a new excavator in the 20-22 ton class we tried and tested a fews excavators (jcb js 220 lc , hyundai 215 and tata hitachi ex 200 lc ) . After testing all of the said machines the jcb was the first one out , it was heavy on fuel , was a bit unstable and was mostly used in a high power setting . The pros was that it had the best cabin layout .
