I recently bought a Mustang 940 and I am slowly trying to get to reasonable standard. I noticed that the seat belt lockout was not working so I look under the seat to see if I could find the problem. I found the problem, the lookout mechanism had been removed.
I managed to get a parts manual to try to work out what was missing but I think the parts manual shows a different version of the lockout, as there are two different control valves were used in the 940 and I think the lockout shown was for the earlier 940's that don't have the Gresen control valve. I have scoured the Internet looking for a picture of the lockout mechanism and I have found a 940E which has a solenoid lockout.
So if you are the proud owner of 940 ad are willing to post a picture of the lockout mechanism near the control valve I would most appreciative. My 940 is a 1993 model.
