New Holland L230 weak drive while turning

mardi 2 février 2016

Just bought a New Holland L230 demo unit with 16hrs on it. (Late 2013) This is my first skidder and I'm still learning how to operate it. Never been on one before but i've clocked up about 10hrs since the weekend when it was delivered. It has all electric controls with 2 joysticks. The machine feels powerful when i drive it straight into a pile and will spin all 4 wheels easily without much hesitation from the engine so the drive motors work well. BUT, if i am making a gradual turn the wheels dont seem to have any power. I can hear a hydraulic swishing noise during gradual turns and to me it seems like some type of valve somewhere is relieving my drive wheels oil pressure making it weak during turns. If just push the left stick sideways for a sharp turn rather that diagonaly it feels super strong.???? Whats going on here? Is it some type of safety relief. Does it at all rpms and is annoying. Thanks
