2007 Jcb js145 in trouble

Hi, searching the internet looking for help on an issue I have with my Js145 and found your forum. I hope you might be able to help shed some light on a problem I have.

Basically 3 weeks ago the machine just cut out dead and would not restart! After a lot of looking around my mechanic suggested holding the stop solenoid open manually and try starting the machine. When we did this the machine started but smoke came out of the front dash panel (aMS I think) so we stopped the machine immediately and called the main dealer. When their guy came out he told me that not only was the aMS fried but that the main ecu was also blown behind the seat. We have since replaced these after a lot of unsuccessful looking to try to find out what happened to cause the meltdown. When the new parts were fitted we then had a problem where the machine was not picking up on the revs when you pulled the levers. The only item then was the ecu was not reading the temp of the engine which the Jcb guy said was probably a faulty sensor which he would replace the next day he was out.

A bit of background. This machine had for the past few months an intermittent issue with the alternator light flashing and beeping at times. My mechanic could not find a problem and as the machine was starting and charging it was only deemed an inconvenience and not a big issue.

Today however is the first day I have put the machine back to work and guess what the alternator light is back on and the machine stopped 3 times and was reluctant to start again! I am worried as I am afraid of the Ecus frying again as it sounds like the same drama starting again.

Any advice or insight would be greatly appreciated.
