Terex RH400 have been produced a total of six at present, the first one(830t) manufactured in 1997, the sixth one which was improved launched in 2002. And,the fifth one is electrically driven type,using two Cummins QSK60-C diesel engines (16-cylinder, turbocharged),with the fuel tank capacity of 16000L.Five of them work in the United States and one in a mine in Canada.

Bucket capacity of 42 cubic meters, can be configured to shovel or backhoe. When it is configured shovel, the maximum digging force is up to 2980kN,and the maximum crushing force is up to 2350kN.

The first Hitachi EX8000 built in March, 2004. Its control room is 10 meters far from the ground, and is designed a practical space with table, microwave and refrigerator and other items in the behind,which makes it possible to get a comfortable life environment in the 24-hours working mine.Taking the long hours driving into account,it is used the light and flexible electric joystick. And,it is equipped with two S16R-Y1TAA2 diesel engines, fuel tank capacity of 14400L.
