I just got a 68(?) JCB backhoe. The hydraulic system seems to only be getting about 950 psi. so, rather weak.
this backhoe seems tight, not very old/worn out. Engine runs great.
my first thought is the turtle switch (is there one on this year machine?) and that is complicated by the rats nest dash, all messed up and I have no idea what used to be the turtle switch. (and I can't find a good pic of that yr dash so I don't know where it would be)
if not that, how would I know if it was the main pump being bad... what can I do about that? is rebuild an option?
so, any ideas?
The guy I got it from said that he replaced the main filter and all of the fluids
takes about 4 sec. to shift into forward, and only about 2 sec to shift into backwards.
thanks for the help!
