Hello to all,
I have a 97 Int 4700 with a 7 spd manual. About a month ago the rear bearing exploded and I had to replace the back half of the transmission case, the tail housing, the speedometer sensor and the trigger wheel for the speedometer. Ball bearings and pieces from the cage of the bearing destroyed the sensor and the trigger wheel. I put the new sensor in and according to a few websites on line I turned the sensor all the way till it touched the trigger wheel and backed it off a half a turn. I still have no speedometer. I have checked both wires going to the sensor and I have about 2.75 volts in each. I have continuity all the way to the dash. I have removed the sensor and checked to make sure that the trigger wheel is spinning. Could someone please advise me on what else I can check. My local International dealer recommends that I replace the circuit board for the cluster??? Thanks in advance and God Bless to all!!!!
