Waldon 6000 Loader with Ford 172 4cyl diesel

I have a 1968ish Waldon 6000 with the Ford industrial 172 4 cylinder diesel engine. I bought it used and it was running when ingot it. I have had to replace the starter and the exhaust heater plugs and wires. I am now on to brake repair. They have been out for while according to previous owner and I have found I am in need of a new master cylinder. A new one from Waldon is a going to cost me $400. I am looking for aftermarket off the shelf parts. specifically a new master brake cylinder. I am also looking for a dash diagram that can tell me what all I am missing. Any help or advice is much appreciated.

753 Lost power

Hey guys. Ideas on what to check for low power situation. I'm pretty sure it's fuel related. Machine lost power, changed fuel filter. Seemed to be ok for awhile, then same thing. Another filter change, still didn't run properly. Changed primer bulb, blew back to tank. Ideas??

exhaust brakes 101

so i pretty much have the concept of how exhaust brakes works but im still confused with a few things.

ive heard that there is a slave cylinder on the exhaust valve, and that it opens the valve to release the gases there by slowing down the vehicle.... but what confuses me is how is this any different from a normal exhaust cycle. Either way the exhaust valve will open on the exhaust stroke with or without a jake brake...... Does the exhaust valve stay open longer? or maybe it opens sooner?? And does the camshaft have to play a part in it, does it use some special cam lobe for the exhaust brakes??
 :Banghead

so can someone please explain this to me

1974 580 B Steering Problem

The steering got tight to where it took everything I had to turn the steering wheel while in motion. And it is still very tight when moving. In the past when it started to get tight I would top up the steering fluid and all would be good. Three days ago this didn't do any good. I first changed the filter. Still very difficult to turn the wheels while stationary or moving. If I lower the bucket to lift the front tires the steering wheel turned freely. Today I replaced the power steering pump. Still difficult to turn the wheel when stationary or moving. When I put the bucket down to lift the front tires I can turn the wheel but it is now not as easy as it was before the pump replacement.

The steering cylinders have always leaked a bit since I bought it in 2007. Yes, the king pins are a bit sloppy and the bushings are sloppy where the cylinder rod attaches to the wheel assembly but I seriously doubt any of this is the issue. Any input will be welcomed. Thanks.

D5G XL jumping- bucking

Got a 06 D5G xl, it's started jumping-jerking-bucking while tramming forward & backwards. The engine strays rpm (no stall) only the transmission/drive pauses/stalls. It started so we called the local cat dealer, they hooked it up to computer & recalibrated. I could feel a minor when he got done & while working yesterday it started again. Dealer said until a falt shows up he can't do anything. Does anyone have an idea to repair ?

Thank you to all who helped me find the JCB 260

It's been a long haul since October, you can ask Stumpy Wally on this forum, smile....but I received my JCB 260 yesterday and this forum helped immensely, so thank you.

Until I posted here, I never even HEARD OF JCB and was headed for a Gehl like my friend's.

I also enjoyed the posts of what you can do with a skid loader. Some of us need to justify the purchase more than others....8-)

A HUGE THANK YOU FOR ALL THAT MAKE UP THIS FORUM AND ALL YOUR HELPFUL POSTS.

Thank you, also, JCBiron, you really know your stuff and have to be one of the best dealers ever.
For instance, who knew they added an optional mud fender flap on one side to keep manure off the door handle? He knew way more than that, but that one stuck out as unique in my mind. 8-)

350 Case Crawler-injection pump

I have a Case 350 Crawler and have been trying to find my timing lines in the inspection plate (only have the 1 line so far) on the pump before I can take it off. Moral Delema, need advice Please

OK, so most of you know my shop burnt down 2 days before my back surgery, w/ a customers pump inside..
I figured I'd pick-up a few hundred before I was layed-up for a few months..
I had quoted the man a price for the removal/reinstall and pump overhaul.. The fire TOTALY destroyed this guys pump..
I called the man and told him what happened and that I wouldn't be able to do ANYTHING for a few weeks on account of my surgery..
He "said" he understood and went on for 30 minutes about how he found the tractor in the woods and was bringing it back to life after 10 years of it hidden in the forest..
SO FAR, I've gotten about 35 phone calls from this guy wanting to know WHEN I can get back to his tractor.. because NOW he "needs it"..
I scoured the web and FINALLY found a pump and paid 1600.00 for it on account I have NO CORE..
I called him to let him know, I BOUGHT a pump and it would be at my house in the MIDDLE of the week, Wendsday..
He called Monday, Tuesday AND wendsday raising hell about, how it shouldn't take "that long" to get a pump..
I received the pump Wendsday nite but didn't find it on the porch till this morning.. Thursday..
I opened the box and low and behold it has the wrong inlet and outlet fittings on it..
NORMALLY that wouldn't be a problem, just go to the shop and get the correct ones.. guess what?? NO SHOP..
SO, I put on my back brace, grab my walker and head to the burnt up building and found EVERTHING I need to get the pump right..!!! fuel inlet/outlet and 4 line connectors.. What a miracle..
My question to you "understanding fellas" IS..
Should I hold this guy to the original quote??? or eat the 1600.00 and shake his hand, tell him how sorry I am that things went this way, and be on my merry way???
BTW.. the quote was less than 450.00 ... So either way it goes, I'm loosing over 1000.00.. and to tell you the honest truth, I'm not even sure I'll be able to bend down that far to get the pump back on..
I know I OWE the guy a pump because it wasn't HIS FAULT AND it's been almost a month since I've been able to get up and around.. BUT Dam.. he SAID he understood about the back surgery.. and the phone calls were killin me..
On top of all that, I'm going to have to hire a helper to go with me incase something goes wrong..
What to do.. what to do..??
I called the customer this morning a told him I'd have his tractor running this weekend... I have to wait till the wife goes to work before I can leave the house or she'll KILL ME.. Lol
Lets hear.. good or bad.. I'm stuck on this one... OR it might be the pain killers clouding my judgment..

GL422 calibration

I purchased a new Spectra GL422 this spring to use on my ditching projects. I noticed some off numbers when checked against my old laser so I checked calibration. My new laser is within specs but barely. I'm currently cutting .05% so I need this unit to be as close as possible.

Does anyone know the calibration procedure for a GL422? My old CTS/Berger explains it in the manual but it seems like Spectra wants me to bring it to a service provider which is 2+ hours one-way. If this is the case, Spectra products will be getting ZERO stars in all of my reviews.

Thanks in advance for any info.

1972 580ck brakes

I found a post by Phill from 5-2010 about a parking brake. It shows a lever that sets the brake on the floorboard. Do all the machines (1972 580 case) have this lever? My left rear tire is locked up and I was hoping this was the reason.

1994 Caterpillar D5C

I am looking for a good dozer to have a little fun with on the weekends clearing my property. I found a local Cat D5 with a little over 10K hours that appears in good shape, UC<50%, pins turned, seems to run good. Would 10K hours keep you from getting it and what is a fair price?

4500,555,655 which to buy

Hello, new to the forum.Been wanting a TLB for working around my property.Fields, landscaping, stump digging, wood road ditching etc.I get around a lot of the time and property with a Ford 800 tractor 2wd.I also own a MF 65 2wd and a Kubota 6800 4wd.Will not need it in the snow and ice. How are the old 4500 parts wise ? I am just getting tired of having to bunch jobs together in order to justify a contractor to come.Plus both of my kids will be building on the property and I could help justify use buy doing leach field power line trenching etc.I am mechanically inclined but have no real diesel experience. If I need a pin/bushing are they easily replaced ? I am definitely leaning towards an open cab for lesser cost and ability to go through the woods easier. what kind of hrs should I be looking at max to buy ? How about what is a engine rebuild cost ? Sorry for all the questions on a first post.Looks like a good forum here. Thanks to all that post. Ed

JD410 Backhoe.... SLOW LOADER

My first post.... Please be gentle. LOL

First of all... I bought this thing in its current condition... it has issues.

Previous owner tore down and replaced the clutch, when he got it back together the front loader works extremely slow. The back hoe
works great... the reverser works as it should.

I am a retired certified master tech for Autos.... but know little about hydraulics.

Where do I start? I tried reversing the supply and return at the control valve thinking they connected wrong... got worse.
Im thinking they assembled something wrong after the clutch job.

Your thoughts? Thank you.

Coolant in the Engine Oil- Cat 943

Hello All- This winter I noticed that coffee-colored oil was slobbering out of the oil dipstick tube on my 943. Oil quantity was over-full. I dropped the belly pan and drained the oil. It was somewhat discolored, but in the drain pan it looked almost normal. The service manual says that if you find coolant in the oil, the first move is to replace the oil cooler. The R&R on this $355 cooler is no big deal, but I would ask your opinions on what is going on in the engine (3204), and what I may find when I unzip the cooler. Also any ideas on precautions I might take when I refill engine oil and radiator on restart. If the cooler is eliminated as the problem, the manual says to check the head gasket, cylinder head, and block, (say it ain't so!) Thanks for any input. Regards, Clark

Case 9020B Engine problem

Hey guys, I have a 1999 9020B and the four cylinder Cummings started smoking blue out the blow by tube. I had just went down a steep bank and after a short time it started spewing blue smoke out the blow by tube (smelled like engine oil). Got it back up on the road and low oil pressure warning was flashing. Shut it down, checked oil and it was right at add. Loaded it up took it home and later added oil, fired it up and let it idle, it went through auto warm up, no smoke but low oil pressure warning came on again. Had to do other things and two days I unloaded and walked toward shop at an idle it spewed smoke out the blow by tube again, and the oil pressure warning came on again. I shut it down and put a oil pressure gauge in plug on top of oil filter housing, fired it up and it had 20 lbs idling, but started smoking blue out the exhaust now(a lot of smoke). There is also a loud ticking that's new,so I pulled the valve covers and no broke springs or extra play in the rockers. Started it and it seams to be oiling good up there. Any ideas? It has had a few hour meters but probably has 8-9000 hrs and was running good and used no oil up until this time.

Advice on what to buy.

I am wanting to purchase a track loader. Medium size. Not a newer one with all the electronics. Will be only used on the ranch cleaning ponds and filling a dump truck. Probably less than 200 hours per year. I am new to track loaders and want something that is not a night mare to work on and parts are still available. Looking to hopefully spent $15,000 or less. What would be a good reliable loader that may fit my needs? Thanks for any input.

How to make easy effective site signs?

I need to make signs to direct drivers at a fill site. I want something better than a spray can and a piece of used plywood, but don't need professional street signs made. What have you used for this? Are there good large stencils available? Cheap plastic letters to nail or staple to a board? This is going on for several years, the signs need to be durable or need to be cheap and easy enough that it doesn't matter that they need to be replaced often. The nature of a fill site requires frequent changes, arrows moved, etc. so I'd like to be able to make them up onsite as needed. Google and Ebay haven't offered up much.

Ideas anyone?

955L Transmission Trouble

Hello

I have a 955L 85J4575 that I had the transmission rebuilt in. Actually the transmission that was in the machine had a bearing failure and just filled everthing in the transmission system with shavings and pieces. I had a parts machine with a good trans so I sent it out to be rebuilt before installing it in the good machine. My machine has a newer bottom, both finals rebuilt and a reman 13x engine so I thought it was worth it to have a rebuilt transmission. I had all the wear parts in the trans changed and installed a new oil cooler and new aftermarket trans pump. From day one the torque got hot. I talked to the rebuilder and they said it was probably the gauge. I had to keep the machine in service as it is my only loader, but only ran it about 100 hours. I was going to bring it in this winter to try to diagnose more but when I was loading it to bring it to the shop the torque converter locked up. I came to find that the bearing between the stator and the impeller siezed. Put another rebuilt torque in the machine and started checking pressures. The torque outlet was only at 20 psi at operating temperature stalled in 3rd gear. It is supposed to be 60. So I checked the torque inlet pressure and it was at 70 psi cold supposed to be bench set at 135psi so I don't know what that pressure is supposed to be at operating temp. After talking to the rebuilder they said to shim the torque inlet relief valve to try to get it higher. I shimmed it to get to about 130 psi cold at high idle. Again I don't know if this is correct since the book says bench test. Once the machine warms up it is down to 50 psi at high idle and the outlet pressure is at 37 psi. I have the trans pump on a gauge also while I am testing the other pressures and it is staying around 320 psi at high idle (within spec) and at idle it goes down to around 220 psi.

I have been in contact with the rebuilder and they don't know what to do. They are starting to blame it on the aftermarket pump and their recomendation is to go to cat and buy a new pump ($1650) and try it. That really isn't an option since it if it doesn't fix the problem Its not like cat is going to take the pump back. I have a hunch that there may be an internal leak that is causing the low pressure. I don't believe it is in the torque since two different torque converters have had the same issue (getting hot). Or possibly the pump is bad even though it is new but Cat will not test it unless they rebuild it.

I am kind of at a loss with this thing. I had $7500 in the rebuild not including the second converter which the rebuilder rebuilt for free. I know if I run it as it is I will be replacing the converter soon.

If anyone has any ideas I would appreciate them.

Thanks,

Phil

Volvo EC25 and Kubota KX41-3S - Too many hours? 1.5 or 2.5T ?

Hello
My name is Filipe Silva, i'm from portugal and i want to buy a small excavator to move some land (Gardening), and do some little excavations to build fenses to my new house. I just sell a backhoes Case 580 K (Too big to my work) and i think a small compact excavator is better to me.
I also have a small "dumper"

i've see a 3500 hours Kubota KX41-3S (1.5T) 10,145.73 USD with only a cleaning bucket and a Volvo EC25 (2.5T) with 3 Buckets with 6700 hours 10,823.95 USD and the engine rebuilded.

I tryied both and both are strong without leeks and good tracks (more than 80%) with only smalls looseness in the attack (normal for the age).

Is 6700 hours to much? I think i will need something like 200 hours of work and then sell the excavator. Is 1.5T enougth or is better have a 2.5T Machine?

Thanks for your help

Also, around Denver (my city of business focus) there is no small companies that do what I do. 1970 Case 580 CK water pump

The water pump on the tractor is leaking and needs to be replaced or rebuilt. I took off the hood and the front grill to see what I am in for. The radiator will have to come out and there is hydraulic lines going into the bottom of the radiator. Or are they lines from the transmission???? I will need to drain the hydraulic oil. Where is the best place to drain the oil, Bottom of the reservoir???
The sheet metal panels between the radiator and engine has hydraulic lines going through them, I am guessing by removing the panels that would give access to the lower radiator hose?????
Does this radiator just sit in a saddle at the bottom, or are there bolts down there holding it in??????
In another thread someone mentioned an on-line service manual, how do you access one if there is such a thing?

Any tips or suggestions on my endeavor?

Prestart checks after excavator roll over

Hi guys,

Picture this; a 2004 Hyundai LC160-7 digger (16 ton) lying on it's cab side facing down slope on a rather steep hillside with boom in a slightly raised position. The accident happened Easter Monday but it's been too wet to get another machine in until now. Will complete recovery this weekend. Just wanted some advice on checks I should do before attempting to start the machine. I intend to let it sit for a few days to let the fluids drain back to where they are supposed to be and I will pull the injectors and turn it over to make sure there isn't oil remaining in the cylinders. Advice on manually lowering the boom would be of assistance also. Thanks.

Tracked Skid Steers.... Which one is the best all around...

Im doing a little research on skid steers with tracks. I rented a Bobcat S300 this winter and absouloutly loved it. I want to sell my track loader and buy s skid steer. I have thought about it and I think the tracked machine would work the best for me since there is a lot of wet and soft areas around and a wheel skid steer would be stuck all the time. My knowledge of skid steers is pretty limited so I thought I would ask you guys... and gals if what you think. The main thing I would like to know is how the undercarrage is on each one... Bobcat.. John deere cat newholland all seem to have a diffrent track system on them. Which one would hold up the best? What do you all think?

Truck bed liner paint on cab floor? Anyone tried it?

Have a bunch of leftover bed liner paint, thought it might work well for the cab floor. Anyone foresee any issues down the road with this? I'd probably back the floor bolts out an 1/8th inch or so and work around them.

Bobcat Rubber Grip Replacement

I searched and could not find any threads on this. I bought replacement grips for the sticks on my 2001 Bobcat 763 (yes I know I'm anal) a while back and would like to put them on. Unfortunately Bobcat puts electrical connectors on the bottom of the sticks that are too big to go through the grips and according to my local dealer have to be removed in order to get the grips on.

Does anyone have any pics of what the wires/pins looks like as they come out of the connectors at the bottom of the sticks? Does it take a special tool to remove the wires/pins from the connectors?

Thanks. Tim

American 595-C early 60's vintage

Does anyone know about these machines? Crane is having a tough time walking and steering. One dog is currently frozen out so I can only turn with one track. How difficult are these machines to work on to get it to walk again? Are parts hard to find? Are the frictions expensive to fix? Does anyone have any manuals for one of these? thank you for the help

Cat D6T Instrument Panel Not Working

Working on a Cat D6T, trying to figure out why the instrument panel is doing nothing. No screen, no lights, no needle movement. It's not the panel itself. Swapped with a known good one. Reading around 21v at the battery power wire going in, and around 24v at the key switch wire. Any insight would be appreciated.

1985 Mustang 345 - Considering Purchase

I am looking at a 1985 Mustang 345 for sale. It is listed with 2,500 hours, no issues except the bucket hydraulic seal is starting to leak.

Priced at a steep $5,700. Sounds like the nearest parts and dealership are a full state away. Wondered how reputable these machines were, if parts are drying up...or if they are mostly universal between the years? Any comments on price and machine would be nice. I can't find a loader under 5 grand around here. The motor in it is the Ford 1.1L - hopefully those are reliable and parts are available?

Thanks guys!

FL7B steering problems?

Hi,
I have a FL7B that will not turn to the right. it trun left great. Question from looking the parts book I can't tell( it's not clear to me) if it uses oil pressure to disengage the clutch or engage the clutch? (engage = pushing)
It looks to me that the piston in the hub pushes the hub to the brake hub and engages the clutch ( to push). I had a problem about week ago the my supply line had a hole in it and I fix the problem and every thing work great. My thinking it that dirt made it into the line and into the control valve body. and now jam the flow valve for the right side to stay open to keep pressure on the clutch.
I'm new to these machines and really to these big machines. I work on stuff and fix every I touch. So it make sense to apply pressure to engage.
Please reply on any insite on these machines.
one more thing I used the machine for another two hour after losting the right steering it still pushes great and turn to the left without problems.
thank you for replys

Komatsu 220 LC-8 excavator

We have a Komatsu 220 LC-8, with supposedly 3000 hours. The main hydraulic valve has developed a moderate to severe hyd fluid leak on the back part of the valve where the In and Out from the main pump oil comes into the circuit valve stack. Under hard steady digging it has built up to a 5 gal leak in 8 hours. Could the pump pressures or reliefs be off?

Komatsu D51EX-22 Dozer

We have been having engine high temp problems with our Komatsu D51EX-22. It has a rear mounted radiator with a self reversing fan to purge out dirt and debree. Lately the fan has been surging, or speeding up and slowing down, periodically. When this happens the engine temp gradually builds up to around 200 degrees. If the engine RPM is reduced, and the heater is run, the temp will drop off some. The weather has been cool or mild. Temps from 40 to 70 degree F.

Gehl hl2600 hydraulic/steering problems

lundi 27 avril 2015

So my dad and I just picked up a gehl hl 2600 skid steer. Unsure of year. Motor starts and runs fine, and bucket works great also, lifts bucket, tilts it with no hesitations. However, it doesn't like to move very well. It gets stuck in forward and reverse and turning doesn't work very well. We have gotten it to move every way it can but you really have to mess with it. When we got it, the hydraulic fluid was pretty low and super contaminated, (filters looked like **** also). Drained fluid and replaced fluid and filters and that seemed to help a little bit, but definitely did not solve the problem. Could there be junk in one of the pumps causing this, or a bad pump/motor. Not too familiar with how these work. Any help/comments is greatly appreciated.
Thanks a lot!

Help with troubleshooting scissor lift?

My scissor lift drive which is now 7 year old had been working in perfect condition until last week. Now, for some reason it is not lifting up completely. I don’t use my scissor lift every day, but once or twice in every week or two. But I do check up every 2-3 days. The warranty is out for a long time, so there goes the possibility of a free service. I am a DIY person and does basic maintenance of my car and truck myself, though I don’t have much clue about hydraulics. But if there is something that I can do to find the issue and correct it, can someone tell me about it? If it is too risky, I will call the repair people, but is it even possible to do something myself?

My dad's case 40xt skid steer is having some issues. The hydraulics are operating really slow when it gets warm. He replaced the hydraulic filter and it still didn't help. Does anyone know if there's a screen on the bottom of the tank which is the bottom outlet to the pump?

Any help fixing this issue would be appreciated.

Cat pumps and some more pumps!!!

hello world

i am still in school studying and ive been thinking about what types of pumps Caterpillar uses for hydraulic and fuel......now this may be a difficult question to answer because there are a wide range of machines but im mostly curious about, bulldozers, backhoes, excavators, articulated haul trucks loaders and skid steers and hell if someone knows what type of pumps those huge mining trucks use you can also let me know :bouncegri

from my knowledge the fuel pumps are : vane, gear, hand primer, diaphragm, and plunger
for hydraulic i believe it is: radial piston, axial piston, vane, gear, and bent axis piston

if i missed any pumps feel free to correct me and i hope to get some answers about the different pumps

Link-Belt 3400Q opinions

Guys - what's everyone's opinions on a Link-belt 3400Q excavator? It's a 1996 model with 7600 hours. Looks really nice and clean. Are they a decent machine to run? Parts easy to come by? Are they hydraulics quick and strong? I am looking at one and haven't actually gone to test it out or look it over just wanting some opinions on them first.

Case 1155e Torque Converter guage

Just purchased a used 1991 Case 1155E track loader. None of the gauges worked correctly. I have everything replaced except the hour meter and torque converter gauge. Where is the best place to buy those 2 items on line. The dealer wants well over $100 for the temp gauge, and a local distributor wants $112 plus shipping. Surely I can find something less expensive that works?

Bobcat 773 G series

I have a Bobcat 773 G, ser # 519013216. machine was in the shop for a traction lock problem; fixed traction lock problem, after sitting for 2 weeks waiting for parts started machine up to remove safety bar to leave shop have no lift or tilt function. turn key on, ach lite comes on; lift and tilt light on left panel gives initial flash; when running after pushing operate pad lite is off. checking codes it shows a 32-34 code which is tilt actuator not in neutral. The shop manual doesn't what the the codes represent or how to fix the problem. As part of fixing the traction lock we found corroded fuses in fuse panel which we corrected if that has any bearing on the problem. Does anyone have any ideas about this? Thanks, Terry

mustang 2076 dead hydraulics

Hi All, I am seeking help for my 2006 2076 mustang. during recent operation the machine stopped completely , whilst the motor is still running sweetly I have no response from the hydra static drive or lift/tilt hydraulics. I have bypassed the seat and bar switches and tested for faulty relays and fuses, the pilot solenoid is functional also. I bought a new drive coupling in anticipation of having to replace it and after finally separating the pump assembly and bell housing from the engine I found the drive to be in good condition ( this is a steel unit with rubber bushings, and unlikely to fail) the coupling was also very secure on the flywheel. I was still able to turn the pump's main shaft and felt the meshing of the gear pump as it turned ( there was no free play in any direction). I have since put it back together to test again with the same results. I have also run the unit and loosened various hydraulic hoses to see if there is any pressure, with the result being zero pressure from the gear pump and at the main valve block.
I am stumped at the moment and would appreciate any advice that may resolve the issue.
I am currently thinking that the pump is stuffed but I don't know how to test it correctly unless I have missed something. I have also changed the hyd oil filter, thinking it was blocked. the machine has 4200hrs.
any help is very much appreciated
regards
sloany

We are going to purchase it but would like to know the model number to see f we can track down an owners manual and to get parts. Price is very good.

Basically what I know is these excavators were imported from France, like to overheat unless the doors open in hotter weather, like to leak fluids, but are strong and last for ever. That and case used these as their excavators for a while.

416 series 2 cat backhoe hydraulic pressure problems

just bought a 416 cat backhoe, runs good, iv pulled full service on the hole machine, fixed hoes and all the leaks nd bad o rings n the boom lines ex ex ex,
first problem started out when trying to dig out some rocks, the rear boom dident seem to have any power to pull noting no matter how high or low the engine was rev, did some research and found out that if I can use another function at the same nd got pressure my resolver valves were bad, so I took out all 12 of them and replaced all the o rings and checked them all out, the old o rings were hard and falling apart nd some were gone, so thought I fixed it, now I have power but still don't seem like enough, its almost like the pump aint putting out enough or aint being told to put out enough.. it pulls nd digs way better then befor but if I latch onto say a stump shouldn't I be able to pull the front of the backhoe up n the air? gess my question is how do I get more pressure out of my pump or what else do I need to look at that could be my problem? resolver valves r good nd all have new o rings, I just don't here the motor bog down hardly, and it don't seem to matter how high I rev the motor I still got the same pressure. like it kicks out to quicl befor it pulls, is there a adjustment on the pump or another relief valve somewere that may be clogged up or stuck with some pices of old o rings? any answears as to what to try or how to test.. thanks

JD 410 stuck in my driveway!

I've posted on this machine twice now. My issues with it have gotten worse and I'm not getting any where with it, it now has dead hydraulics and is sitting in the middle of the driveway were I moved it to work on it. Not a big deal to me cuz I think it's a good looking machine:D but my wife is a WHOLE nother story! This is what I've done, I've checked the pickup screen, changed filters and hyd. Fluid. I've checked pressures at the hydraulic pump, my main pressure was low slightly and my charge pressure was fine until I moved any function then it drops to zero, since the problem has gotten to where the hydraulics are dead, my charge pressure stays at zero. I disconnected the feed line to the main pump ran it into a bucket and got aprox. 4 gallons in 20 seconds of running the engine. I have removed a piston in the main pump at it looked it really good condition. I've checked the transmission filter relief valve and it seemed okay but I'm not sure exactly what to look for. On top of it all the machine slips in high range, pulls ok in low range. I figured the problem could be connected. Sorry for all the info at once, I'm not sure what to check next, my guess was pressure regulating valve but can't find where it's located. I'd really appreciate any help.

Northwest Model 25 Serial 16330 Crawler Crane

Hello All,

First time poster so please be patient.

I am looking for some information on the subject crane. My brother left this crane on my property in Southern VA and the town is putting pressure on me to have it removed. I was considering selling the steel for scrap but have no way to move the crane to the recycling facility. Can anyway tell me how much this machine weighs? Is there anyone near VA interested in this machine? I have have no idea of the age, probably 1950s I am guessing.

Any insight or information would be appreciated. I have a few pics and the original Northwest repair parts list but nothing more.

Thanks.

Busted hose on Deere 322

I have a 2007 Deere 322 CTL. Today while knocking down some small dead trees it quit moving. Quickly discovered I had a hydraulic leak. A hose that is about 18" long broke. I am not up on all the parts terminology but it goes from the center of th machine (pump?) to the left side drive motor I assume. I got the pump side removed easily but could not get the other side off.

I removed a cover plate behind th track and there are three or four hose connections in there one of which is the one I need to remove but they are all super tight and there is very little room to work. I spent a while trying o break these connections loose and can't seem to make any progress. Part of the problem may be my wrenches I can't really get them positioned well.

Any tips on getting this off?

New to sight, bought an 1816br1 looking for mechanical advice.

First hello,

My name is Alonzo I am from South East Mo. I work as a machinist/fabricator for the local ag and marine industry.
I recently came across an old case 1816b skid steer and bought it for 1,500. I figure it is an outstanding upgrade from a shovel and wheel barrow.

It does run but the old tecumseh is blowing a lot of oil.

I was wondering if anyone has upgraded to new motors and if so what kind of problems did you run into?
I found this upgrade kit, Has anyone tried it? Or am I better off sticking with a 20hp Honda and building my own adapter kit?
http://ift.tt/1zbJa6l

On this particular machine the pumps are engaged via pulley tension, it wants to walk when it is disengaged. I am seriously thinking about replacing the system with a 12v clutch while I am replacing the motor. Is this a bad idea, or a smart move?

I am also looking at putting on an additional electric over hydraulic system that can power up a post hole digger, small tiller, snow blower ect. If any of you have recommendations on pump/motor sizing I would be grateful.

Thank you for reading,

Alonzo

Bobcat 341 Mini Excavator Kubota Engine, oil in radiator?

Need a bit of trouble shooting help. I have a 2003 bobcat 341 Mini Excavator with a Kubota v2003 motor, found oil in radiator, did pressure test through radiator and pressure drops from 15psi down to about 10psi then stops, does not build pressure while running after pumping up to 15psi, I have no water in the oil pan, while under pressure pull dip stick and nothing changes,
wondering if it could be a head gasket or a cracked liner, if you have knowledge of kubota diesels, any input would be great.

Thanks
