01 Dodge Tail lights

A buddy of mine had a flat bed put on his 01 Dodge pickup that had 4 lights in the tail end and 2 up on the headacke rack they are led. They flashed very fast so he found some deals to wire from ground to turn signal wire to slow them down. I did this for him and it worked. A week later he has no brake lights on the bed turnsignals steal work but the brake light on the cab steal works. I had a little time today and found the problem is in the cab maybe turnsignal switch or brake light switch ? What ever it is was the problem something to do with the 6 leds? Maybe some one puting a service bed on has had this problem before.
