Grove AMZ Manlift will not idle, Throttle Solenoid operation, problem?

mercredi 21 décembre 2016

Hi, I am troubleshooting a 1998 Grove AMZ50 where all of a sudden the engine will no longer idle under gasoline mode. I am wondering if the 'throttle solenoid' has anything to do with it. There are two solenoids mounted on the engine. Choke and another one which must be a throttle solenoid. My hunch is that putting the engine in 'rabbit' speed should kick in the solenoid and cause the engine idle to speed up. Can anyone please comment on how the AMZ should respond to switching between rabbit and turtle mode? When I switch back and forth there is no visible action on or around the engine. It would seem the throttle solenoid being linked to the governor and ultimately the carb butterfly would be what should activate the higher RPM rabbit mode.

It sure would be nice to have a schematic diagram of course. Is there anything available that would be useful? Regardless, could someone please explain to me what the throttle solenoid's purpose is on the AMZ?

Thanks in advance.
