Hi all,
For those guys who are using GNSS GPS for grade control and have had enough of the constant "drift" you get all day and night, I just want to put this out there that we have a solution to your problems. In my experience every GPS receiver does this and the constant changes in elevation are nothing short of frustrating. The same can be said for survey rovers and any GPS device used for measuring vertical distances.
TOOMEY EARTHMOVERS has released the ECS, a simple but effective system to compensate for the "drift" and it can be used with ANY brand of GPS technology. We are seeing no more than +/- 1/4" or 5mm throughout the day at the most (apart from the vagaries of the RTK solution itself) and even then there is argument that it actually occurred.
Here is a few photos of some Topcon and Trimble construction systems being controlled by the ECS.....
This simple device will take the stress out of using GPS for grade control in agriculture and Construction. You can see more photos and video on our Facebook page. This may seem like an advertisement but it will change the way you use GPS forever (No, this is not a "Ripleys Believe It or Not" Show - its real).
Happy to answer questions on FBook if this is an inappropriate place for that. I just wanted to let everyone know that GPS is no longer the pain it once was.
