Making a trail with a Deere 693Bpointers?

It's a very early 80's 693B feller bunches with a bucket so like a 690B. I have to get off the meanin road and get over a 4-5 foot deep ditch, (first time in an excavatorit should be interesting. Then make a 400 yard trail-- the wider the better. The 4 big teeth in the bucket are little numbs, don't know how good it will dig yet, but the ground is soft with 1 for of moss in lots of areas. Trees vary from insignificant little twigs to 2 foot trunks, most usually 8 inch to 1 foot diameter. Lots of wet areas :(

How should I go about doing this?
