Little back ground. I was called to fix an oil leak. When I got to the job checked hydraulic and engine oils little low but ok. Removed Eng side covers and saw oil had been leaking. Started engine and ran for about 10 minutes worked hydraulics but found no visable leaks. Got operator to walk unit back to shop about 20 minutes away so I could wash it and clean all the oil up. He got about 5 minutes from shop and called said lost power and oil spraying out. So I went and found engine oil running out of belly pan and engine would not throttle up. Checked Engine oil again was about a gallon low. It looks like the oil is coming from a plate on the timing cover just to the top left of the governor housing. It has the generator adjusting bracket mounted to it. I understand if the injector pump is not getting oil that it won't throttle up. But can't understand the plate leaking causing it. Anybody got an idea. Thanks
