need helppppp on asv rc100 !!!!!!

I am a first time forum participant. 2007 asv rc100, needs help and we don't know how to help it. We live in an area that finding a qualified mechanic to service our rc100, is nill, so we are trying to service it ourselves. This time, it can't be jumped. Over the past year, it would not start by itself, so we had to jump start it. Today, it's a different story. Tried to jump it, positive source to positive (red) post and negative source to negative (black) post. As soon as the negative post is touched, it sizzles and sparks, just like a short. Can someone please give us some advise how to move it and what could cause this problem. I hope it's not the battery, as it is under the seat, and don't know how to lift the arm up without power. Of course, it's not near the house, we have to move it uphill, but don't know how?
