I have a 1974 international 3600A backhoe that I am having a lot of trouble with. Just got it out of shop after spending $3000.00 had it running used it to move snow for about an hour and then it would nt go forward anymore only backwards? It's so hard to find any info online for this machine but from what I read there is a lever on the left side of seat that has something to do with it move forward and backward can anyone tell me what that lever is and what it does? the other problem is they put a new starter in and went to start it a few weeks ago and wouldn't start so I gave up put I noticed a wire from starter going across the op of motor up into dash area and the wire casing was completely melted and wire touching all kinds of metal on the engine so I'm wondering what that wire is and guessing that might be why it didn't start? I have no idea if there is a fuse box on this machine somewhere? I would think that wire touching metal would have blown a fuse somewhere?
