Is the Floating Seal of Your Motor Grader Really Useful?

Floating Seal are developed as a seal for track rollers of construction machines and mining machinery. As its name suggests, the floating seat is installed not to contact with the shaft and keeps sealing performance by the tightening force and elastic distortion of the O-ring. Therefore, floating seal is most appropriate to seal sand and dirt, and is widely used for the undercarriage of bulldozers and excavators.
Floating seal is a special form of mechanical seals. This seal consists of the O-ring or Elastomer Packing and the floating seat, made of special cast steel. The material of the floating seal is a special chrome molybdenum cast steel 15Cr3Mo. The compositions are 3.6% Carbon, 15.0% Chromium and 2.6% Molybdenum.

- Anti-dirty ability
- Corrosion-resistant
- Lifetime is more than 5000 hours.
- Sealing face roughness less than 0.15 micron, flatness 0.15 +/-0.05 micron
- Various size of floating seals are available from OD. 50-865 mm.

Temperature range : - 40 oC to + 100 oC
Circumferential speed : 3 m/sec (max.)
