New clutches/and Bell housing gasket 580ck and some advice

vendredi 27 novembre 2015

Hi all im prepping the old girl so i can split the tractor and replace the shuttle discs and replace bell housing gasket ( its leaking shuttle oil ).I would like to remove the top loader arms and bucket before i split it has anyone ever took the arms off at the top of the arm where it rides on a bushing or ? i have in the past spread the two hydraulic tanks (left and right) to remove the spacer pipe so i could pull the fuel tank. But im wondering about just popping the loader lift arms and remove the cylinders and pull the arms and bucket all at once any ideas on this.
I am also looking for input on rebuilding the TWIN DISC shuttle and the shuttle valves and torque converter. I have owned this old girl for about 3 years now it didnt move at all when i got it (busted keyway for shuttle pump ) fixed that and have used it every since but its like when the oil warms up the clutch disc start slipping and since day one i have to let it warm up before it wants to move.I have read a lot about this on here with a variety of causes so i am wanting to take care of all of it while i have it split. The one thing that makes me want to redo the shuttle valves are when im warming it up with the rear tires off the ground the tractor in gear and throttled up a little is it shows 180 clutch pressure and i push the clutch in about 1/4 the way and the pressure drops but the tires spin better im uncertain if maybe i have bad orings on the spools or what.So as long as im doing the gasket anyway i would like to eliminate the clutch problems as well so any advice would be of great help. Thanks
