Looking at buying a 1998 ex 300 lc and noticed when going forward or backward the final drive (or drives) make a whining sound. Its definitely not a metal to metal sound but trying to figure out how much noise is to much. I called 2 mechanics and both said they should not be noisy. I dont feel any drag and they seem to be very strong... just a louder sound than im used to. Are the hydostats on larger machines usually louder ? Thanks for any help.
